Amarillo Area Pools open for Summer Season

The time of year is here and warmer weather has become more frequent since we are in the Spring season.  One common staple of hot weather involves finding a way to cool down after being in the sun for a period of time. When you think of swimming the thing that often comes to mind is making a visit to the local pool and taking a dip in the water. Good news is here  for residents of Amarillo and the surrounding area as three pools will be opening doors coming up on May 28th. These include Southeast, Southwest and Thompson Park as the staff at these locations has increased to give more coverage of lifeguards to keep occupants safe while using facilities around the area.

Over the next several months there are plans to have a decent number of special events like birthday celebrations and programs that can help people who compete in swimming competitions among other things. Passes are available upon entry into the pools if you are a common everyday visitor to these pools. You can purchase them online at the Amarillo Parks and Recreation website.

For price information visit www.amarilloparks.org and for up to date events happening across our area check out the Facebook page.
