Join Amarillo College this week for a student game night on the Washington Street campus in Badger Central on Monday November 21st. The event is free to students and their families featuring board games of many different skill levels that challenge them to try new approaches to learning the basics of a particular set of tactics in something like chess or a trivia match to better understand how the games work. I remember being a student at AC and this actually sounds like a fun way to find a niche in a college student's life that is relative to basic skills especially in a new game that has never been played before. You can see a picture below of a chess match and this usually has a skill set of pattern recognition.

For instance if there was a game of trivial persuit going on at a table the subjects would range from math to history and science and if you are in college this would be a huge advantage to helping with an assignment that has to do with the topic covered in a game. If I had a chance to go to this I would probably play the games that are challenging rather than the ones that are based on common sense and knowledge where you would know everything about the game.

The fun will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 10PM and you can come and get your game fix during that time. For more information check out the Facebook page
