If you think of a typical day in the Panhandle region the first thing that comes to mind might be the wind blast of at least 40 MPH on some days. Then you might remember the days where a change in the seasons happens just within a couple days. That is the story of our most recent weather we have been having the past several days.

According to the National Weather Service temperatures in our area have been on the up and down scale with mid 70s and Sunny and then turning around and seeing that Winter is back in full force while we have temperatures at or below freezing. This has happened quickly within just 24 hours before having a Winter Storm Warning issued. Sources say we can expect to see around 2 to 4 inches so make sure and check road conditions as whiteout visibility will be a major concern until this system passes. I woke up the morning it got here and my power went out for a couple hours to something else to keep in mind would be to keep a full stock of firewood in case the same thing happens at your house. Hopefully Mother Nature will be back to normal later this week and into next week and we will see the 60s and 70s of Spring again.
