Eli Young Band Coming to Starlight Ranch in Amarillo

Join us out at Starlight Ranch as we welcome Eli Young Band to Yellow City, the group known for hits like "Crazy Girl" and "Even if it Breaks your Heart" will hit the stage on September 21St.

Gates open at 5:30 and the show starts at 6 and goes until 8. Tickets are on sale now for $20 and children under 3 years of age will have free admission into the concert.

I myself have never been to Starlight Ranch but would like to go sometime in the future, I hear it is a blast and they even have a zipline that goes across the venue to the small stage, one of the two stages with the other one being the main stage.

Here is a little background about this band originating from Denton, Texas. The front end singer, Mike Eli, formed the band in 2002 releasing their self-titled debut album, they have charted a total of eight times on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, with "Crazy Girl" being in the number 1 spot in 2011, other singles would follow in upcoming years.

Back in 2008, they released "Jet Black and Jealous, one of my favorite songs I like off this album is "Radio Waves", I played it on a digital jukebox at a pizza joint me and my family went to, it's been a long time but I still remember sticking a dollar or two to play songs. The picture below is the type of machine I'm referring to.

Mike Eli and James Young met each other as they were taking classes at the same college, they were roommates who would exchange ideas for songwriting to start gaining public attention, starting out with the name Eli and Young and then later forming Eli Young Band when they grew to become known in the music industry. I will say they are one of my favorite country bands among others.
