The image above is just the start of a great transformation to my backyard deck, this past weekend construction began with getting the old cherry red plank boards gone so everything is staged for when the new parts come in. Watch this post as I will be adding photos and possibly a tour video of the project when completed, at first thought I was expecting a lot more of a mess but it ended up being less so that was a good thing in regards to the time it took to at least get a start, the picture below is at another angle after taking the frame apart.

I think this project will take no more than a couple hours to complete once the parts arrive and we can get started on putting the new deck together, the difference between the old deck and the new one will be the way it sits on the frame. This deck will sit a little higher which will be pretty convenient with not having to step up as far, it will be right in line with the walkway going into my sunroom.

I can’t wait until it is done!! Pictures coming soon

UPDATE:Today is Saturday and I still have construction mode in place but the outside frame is now built around the parameter of my deck space. Pictures below:

Here are pictures of the framing before laying the planks down to sit on the base. The finished product which I will post soon has the planks all done, I’m very happy with my upgrade to my yard.

This is looking towards my house, you can see we have pavers as a support system to make the deck strong and sturdy.

Let me take you on a tour in this video of what I have now.
