Golden Light In Amarillo Getting a New Location

If you have never been to the Golden Light Cantina in Downtown Amarillo it’s recommended that you check this place out. It’s on Sixth Street down where all of the other music venues like Leftwoods are. This restaurant has music as well with different local talent coming out one or two days out of the week to perform. This has included Texas Red Dirt among other genres. Starting this weekend we will have the Golden Light experience in two locations. The new one over on Western Street will still have the same food items with the option of beer and wine as well.

The menu from what I have read on social media will still consist of things like burgers and other well known items that reside at the original location. The general manager says this move to open a second location will give options for people in the south side of Amarillo for giving roughly the same feel as the original location. The live music portion is also looking to carry over into the new place as well which in the long run will give opportunities for more local artists to be announced in the coming months of Summer. I have not been to Golden Light at the Downtown location but with this new building a little closer to where I live that could be a future possibility.

The grand opening will be held this Saturday so if you have time make sure to go and see this new extension of a local business. It’s a great thing for our city when it comes to the aspect of population growth which we are definitely seeing as time goes by. This will contribute to the future of the Yellow City by miles when we start to get into say five to ten years from now.
