Summer is officially here and that means it’s time to have fun at your favorite water park or pool to stay nice and cool during these days of hot temperatures. Here are a few that you can visit.

Southeast Pool-This pool is a decent size for both your kid and you to fit in and swim. There is a park nearby for you to get your daily intake of your workout routine. Just make sure to take a sports drink or water to stay hydrated.

Virgil Henson Activity Center-WT has it’s own pool in the same place as the gym and bowling alley. You have the best of both worlds of either water or gym exercise plus the option to ride a wave in the lazy River or use the waterslide to make getting into the water a more fun experience.

Thompson Pool-This pool has been closed to the public for remodeling but will soon be back open with a brand new look and added features. The City of Amarillo says the major update came when the older pool that was there began to fall apart to where it wasn’t safe for swimmers. I am glad to see officials taking care of our facilities.

Canyon Aqua Park-This is a relatively new place but it has things like a water slide and lazy River as well. If you have been to the part of Canyon where Conner Park is the facility sits in this area. It is open seasonally until September.

Have a great Summer and stay hydrated and cool.
