We have seen a crucial need for blood donors across the country and communities as a whole, Amarillo is seeing a need for this as well so to help out with replenishment Hodgetown is hosting a charity benefit game. The Boots Vs Badges organization will have two teams competing with each other in a Softball match played just like the regular season games. Food and drinks will be served at the concessions with social distancing guidelines in place to keep visitors safe, tickets are $8 for seating and $5 for standing in a booth.

I hope the turnout of the game is a good one and serves as a great way to have fun during this stressful time, it would be a good time if I could go. Tickets will be sold in groups of 2, 4 and 6 and they will be family packs only, kickoff is at 7:05 and gates open at 6:05. The last time I went to a Soddies Baseball game was late May of last year, it was a great game and I got to see all of the cool lightning on the field and the Jumbotron had all the staff members welcoming everyone. My family got booths where they served us a full meal with a drink, the box seat had a cubicle for standing and I took advantage of the sitting room under the air conditioning as it was hot that day. Over all a great experience for a first time game with our team. Hopefully in 2021 me and my family can have another opportunity to get some box seats again and root on the Sod Poodles.

So go have a good time at Hodgetown on Saturday August 15th. It’s for a good cause and will definitely help out our community.
Go Soddies!!
