If you grew up in the Panhandle region you may be familiar with who this artist is and might have even seen him going to your school if you are an alum to Tascosa High School. Known for songs like “That Girl“ and “Panhandle Poorboy” among other singles Fowler has a heart for the Great Plains of Texas. On several Red Dirt Country stations he has topped the charts with his gaining fan base which in turn helped him with his name in the community. He has toured across places in Texas and other states as well performing at a wide array of saloons and venues across America. His family raised him in Amarillo and that is where he caught the music bug and started to practice first in his house and then at small places in public where the audience was decent size but not too much people. In his 2014 single from the album “How Country are Ya” he reflects on his childhood and how calling the High Plains home relates to the experiences he had while living in his hometown. If you want to listen to the song here is a YouTube link.

The song sets the image of a place we call the Golden Spread and goes though Fowler’s experiences which I can relate to since I was also born and raised in the same area and have loved it ever since. Fowler has done concerts outside his home state of Texas in states of Oklahoma and New Mexico. Charity events that help with low income families and people who have a situation come up in their life have also been able to bring him in and perform popular singles.

During his concerts he would have different places in the venues where people could get swag to take home as a keepsake of memorabilia. Things like T-Shirts and other products would be sold to people who wanted something like this. I would want to take home something if I ever found myself at a Red Dirt concert where he was headlining. It would be cool especially knowing that the money raised goes to a good cause and helps out the community. You can check out the website right here for concert and ticket information.

Maybe an Amarillo concert is in the works, who knows. I will stay up to date.
