It’s hard to believe that we are less than two weeks away from 2021 and the start to a fresh new year. With the way we have seen things this year I am looking forward to this holiday along with the others as well. I have goals and resolutions that I like to set as we all do to reach our fullest potential. In this blog I will put some of the things I would like to accomplish in this year to try and be better as a person.

First off, I would like to gain some independence and start my driving lessons again to make me better at this activity which will allow me to go places on my own as an adult. My goal is at least fifteen minutes a day starting out and then gradually work my way up to an hour or so. That way i can go where i want to on my own schedule. I would also like to make some changes to my amount of stuff packed away that never gets used and donate some of this to a person who will make good use out of say a pair of shoes or a polo. I can say that my closet is filled with stuff from Junior High and High School that most likely won’t fit me anymore. Seeing that someone actually uses something makes a difference by giving something to wear for either business or house clothes. My work dress code has smocks and I usually still have polos but they match the color on my uniform.

The big part for me is decluttering this year and possibly getting a new bedroom set if I can find one that is a best fit for what I might need. You never know when I might need something like a study space if I decide to go back to college to it is definitely a factor worth considering. Mainly what I am wanting is an update from furniture that I have had since my childhood years. Not that some stuff might want to stay, the possessions that are a treasure I will keep for memories but one thing I consider getting out of the way is the stack of school papers that have been in my dresser for years now. Starting in my mid 20s is a new chapter for me and I want things to look like new, I even have something mapped out in my head to sort of serve as a home broadcast booth to keep up with my dream skills in preparation for the real thing when it comes.

I hope this year is a great one. Happy holidays and new year.
