Charcoal company Kingsford has been a mainstay in the American grilling landscape for many years allowing backyard parties and gatherings to have full flavor in the barbecue that is served. The product line in the beginning consisted of the original brand and this one had the most sales in the first release to the public to add to grilling supplies. In later years we began to branch out and see other versions of the traditional product released that includes the MatchLight bag where users can just light up the charcoal without having to use lighter fluid. I have learned you have to be careful around these bags since the contents inside are already lathered with fluid. Others would follow as years pass by but the bags that are new this year are Garlic Onion and Paprika and Basil Sage and Thyme. What these are supposed to do is act like flavor enhancers to avoid putting too many spices on your meat when putting it on your grill.

I find this line of Kingsford products to be unique because unlike the original these types of charcoal act like what you would have to do with flavoring and this allows saving of grilling time which makes it convenient when cooking your meats or vegetables on your grill. It would be interesting to see other flavors be added into the mix like Sun Dried Tomato or Cucumber Ranch. Putting a different taste on each of these flavors just gives consumers more options when deciding what to use when cooking out in the backyard.

Let’s hope we have popularity of this in the future.
