The City of Canyon has been working on a project that has taken four years to complete with the blueprint on a new space at Connor Park to honor an autistic Canyon resident who made a difference in people’s lives daily.

Kylie Hiner had a favorite hangout spot which was this park and a new space that commemorates her is now open to the public. The Kylie Hiner memorial playground has many options for your kids to play in the different areas of the park. Hiner passed away in 2017 at the age of 25 and this new addition will have her name in remembrance of the memory she has left in the hearts of her family. The playground includes a Zipline which was one of Hiner’s favorite activities in her free time.

The funding for this project initially came from both the city and donations from residents to aid in the development and construction efforts. The spirit of this loving person will remain intact through this new area in Canyon.
