The entertainment scene has held an icon for a long time and this era is about to come to a close at the end of this year. Pat Sajak has been on Wheel of Fortune since 1982 with many episodes taking on many different themes within a given week that usually have prizes relating in some way to this. Sajak has held this role throughout every season while keeping contestants engaged with the game that has always lasted for a half hour every night on air. I have been a fan watching this program for awhile now and every time I see this host at his best in every game that has been played since the beginning in the early 80s.

Starting in September of this year the 41st season of the game show will begin which will be Sajak's last season as host. The series has yet to find another replacement host but some people have expressed that Vanna White, who currently stands at the letter board should serve as his replacement. Other people include Ryan Seacrest who has hosted other shows on TV and radio in the past. I see Vanna White being more of a suitable candidate since she stepped in while Sajak was recovering from a procedure that caused him to take leave.

Wheel of Fortune has been a game show that Americans have watched and played to this day and even with the set changes throughout the years the series has kept the same level of quality. We have seen additions of new features to complement giveaways during the game. This includes a bigger amount of money for the contestant especially in the most recent 40th anniversary season where a wedge on the wheel makes called letters worth $40,000 on the bonus round. The interaction with watchers as the digital age began to take shape has advanced rapidly into the evolving social media platform, this created a way for people to be a part of the show even as a distant watcher in the U.S.

Best wishes to Pat in his retirement. Who do you think would make a great replacement for him? Are you a regular Wheel Watcher?
