In my college media classes I took for my certificate I took a class called Broadcast News as part of my elective courses. The class taught me how to produce quality news stories by using the script format and laying down audio for radio and audio/video for the TV portion of the class. In the lecture my professor went over the different ways that listeners and viewers can have their attention grabbed so that a news audience can be formed and the word gets out making people aware of the different sides of a segment. I also learned how to make sure that the sources you get for a story are the right ones for the particular content you are covering in a radio or TV segment.

One thing I can take from this class is being able to gain awareness of the world around me through these skills like knowing how to take a story and break it down to study it‘s inner workings like seeing one side and the other side in my own light.

In the future I hope I can make a difference in this industry along with my dream broadcasting career.
