It has been quite a wait but we are finally getting back to some types of sporting events, one of the first in the country to be back in the game NASCAR recently hosted it‘s first televised race competition on Fox Sports 1. The racetrack still has guidelines in place to keep fans safe, gathering in the stands as a crowd is still not able to happen for the next several months but we should be back to normal within several months. When all of this stuff is over my first trip out of my home area would like to be attending a professional race in person as I have only attended Baseball games in person and would love to hear the roaring of engines down Talledega or the Daytona 500.

Most recently I watched a race on TV and according to the people in the booth the drivers are still extremely excited to just get back on the track and do what they love, I can tell from watching that America’s pastime is still a very strong activity and will continue to be for a long time. Nascar knows revenue for the company comes from races and the merchandise that is sold at stands and online at the website which is where most customer traffic is right now which will help the company thrive in a virtual market environment. I read where some businesses are happy with the aspect of doing things like ticket sales and promoting dates and times of current events taking place at certain tracks all across the country. The good thing is even though we can’t do crowds at least for a while we are fortunate to be living in a time where other outlets can be used in place as the next best thing.

For instance if I booked a time to be at a race and then found out it was postponed I could get the same thing through Radio or TV Cable or Streaming to watch the race if it was a major track that already has broadcast rights with common cable and local networks, FOX usually is the best one in my opinion during the season to get a good fix. In the time we are in you can even stream on Facebook Live or another platform such as a Live YouTube channel which I’m sure NASCAR has somewhere online as it is common in this day and age.

Well that’s my opinion on the awesome sport that is racing. Until next time
