Amarillo is seeing growth in the restaurant industry in different types of ways to cater to consumers of different tastes. There are numerous establishments that have Tex Mex as a menu option which has a unique blend of Texas ingredients like cheese, sour cream and ground beef. I read an article on the difference of this food category from actual Mexican food. Things like peppers and cheese come from the Texas side and none of this is present in the real thing. If you consider Taco Villa to be ready for a competitor then this would be the go to company.

Just this year a restaurant called Chuy’s Mexican opened in Amarillo giving patrons another choice for popular entrees like tacos and chalupas. This company originates in Texas and there are local roots involved with the new place. It opened up this month and I have not had the chance to make it over to the new location but in the future on a special occasion it is in the plans on a trip out to dinner with family. With this unusual time I really haven’t been out to eat in a really long time so it would be a nice return to normalcy in life.

Chuy’s has an app that you can use for dine in, takeout or even delivery to your house in certain parts of the coverage area. Mostly from what I read about on the restaurant website the delivery service is only available in inner city Amarillo so you would need to live in a neighborhood that is able to be served. Calling in and having it picked up is the best option if you are in route to get home from work so it will be hot and fresh to take home with you for that night or to be refrigerated for the next day. What I like to do is have my order placed for pickup ahead of time so that there is enough time to prepare the meal. Depending on the type of strategy you go by your experience will still be a unique one.

Good luck to this new place and I hope the Amarillo economy is improved through it.
