It’s an apartment complex in Amarillo that has sat vacant for at least a decade. I have went to social media feeds and i saw people posting photos and comments pertaining to the renovation of Puckett Place and the front of the building looks boarded up like it was about to be converted to something in a remodel but this property has had numerous people try to get a lease and seemingly nothing has worked. The complex has been worked on here and there but some amenities are still in need of an upgrade. The picture of the indoor pool I was able to see looked like it was not safe to swim in. Owners of this property have sort of been floating around and some of them made an effort to save this apartment complex.

When this complex was built it was a mainstay in the Amarillo market for apartment rentals of all different living situations. College students would even stay in a room that had what they needed for study materials and things like that. I was really young but I still remember going into what was called the red room where conferences and gatherings would take place. When the property was abandoned it was just sitting there with no one touching it for years. You just had a feeling of sadness when you would pass this building on 34th only to think that time will tell when someone is interested in revamping this once lively complex. What I would like to hear from my readers is something that you may have noticed at this property. I have heard that it looks better then it has in the past but still needs a lot of work.

What would you like to see on this property as part of the restoration? I would like to hear your thoughts.
