Restaurant to Open Up In Shamrock For First Time in Decades

If you have been through Shamrock Texas you know one of the iconic historical markers to be the U Drop Inn on U.S 83 going down the main section of town. This building has been featured in the movies most notably catering to the Disney Cars series. Coming up in a few months you can expect to see some construction and activity in preparation for a grand opening of the restaurant attached to the motel for the first time in at least a decade.

In the image above you can see the neon lights on this location to give it an appealing look to visitors of this location. This tactic is designed to attract tourists from different parts of the country to the Shamrock community which is good for the city economy overall. At the time of this post I am not sure what the plan is for the restaurant menu but hopefully it will be a decent option for road trippers going down 1-40 looking for a place to stop and take a break from traveling. When I read the article it made me think of just how much time has passed since businesses like this were in operation.
