This group is known for the distinct style they immerse into when performing at venues across America. Places they have performed include Los Angeles, Las Vegas and various other places. The style of music heard consists of drums and an electric guitar to put a sort of up tempo feel into songs for the listeners. I have never been to any concerts to see them but they have a home base in Las Vegas at The Luxor Casino and Hotel which as you can tell in the image above with the logo on the left side is where this photo was taken. I was out walking The Strip when I noticed for about $60 a ticket they were playing every night. The name comes from a group of men who have blue face paint put on by a makeup artist to make it look like they have blue faces. I’ve seen them advertised on magazines and TV commercials in the early 2000s so they have been active since at least the mid to early 90s.

They use different effects for shows like fake smoke and fire to add to the fun of the performances to make them inviting for both the live audience and the people at home watching a live broadcast from a remote location across the country. I remember watching them perform on TV whenever I was really young and always thought it was cool to see the different styles they adopted as a way to market the band and in turn create revenue for the venues they performed gigs at.

Maybe next time I’m in Vegas I’ll catch them sometime.
