The CMA Awards air this Week: Here are the Nominees and my Predictions

I am getting anxious about a yearly event that I have watched for a long time, the CMAs recognize country music's biggest stars and fans vote for their favorites.

Here's who is taking the stage this year:

- Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins with Blake's latest Single "Hell Right"

-Lady Antebellum and R&B artist Halsey collaborating for one of their hit songs.

-Chris Stapleton and Pink with her latest single "Love me Anyway".

Those are just some of the acts performing.

Here are the nominees:

Group of the year: Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Midland, Old Dominion, Zac Brown Band.

New Artist: Ashley McBryde, Cody Johnson, Midland, Carly Pierce, Morgan Wallen

Album of the year: Center Point Road-Thomas Rhett, Cry Pretty-Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay-Dan + Shay, Desperate Man-Eric Church, Girl-Maren Morris

Single of the year: Burning Man-Dierks Bentley, Girl-Maren Morris, God's Country-Blake Shelton, Millionaire-Chris Stapleton, Speechless-Dan + Shay

Female vocalist: Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood

Male vocalist: Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Kieth Urban

Song of the year: Luke Combs-Beautiful Crazy, Girl-Maren Morris, God's Country-Blake Shelton, Rainbow-Kacey Musgraves, Tequila-Dan + Shay

Vocal duo: Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osbourne, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Maddie & Tae

Entertainer of the year: Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban

My predictions are Lady Antebellum takes group of the year, Midland takes new artist, Thomas Rhett's Center Point Road wins album, single goes to Blake Shelton's God's Country, Carrie Underwood for Female Vocalist, Thomas Rhett for Male Vocalist, Song of the year Kacey Musgraves-Rainbow, Vocal duo goes to Florida Georgia Line, and for Entertainer of the year: Garth Brooks.

We will see where I end up when they air Wednesday night, I'll update this post with results.

Well put of all the nominees, I got one or two of them right, the Single of the Year, which went to Blake Shelton is one of the few. We will see next year if I get more right.
