The way we are exposed to the world of music has come a long way from where it was in the early years of only making sounds through what you could find in the days before electricity existed. In the 18th century and earlier we could only use what the natural world provided to our lives and put this to use in some way to make a form of instrument that only used human energy instead of being plugged in to a wall outlet. This made music possible even in the age of pre industrial times in our society when we had yet to know what an electric guitar was or a digital piano. The 19th and 20th centuries saw the advancement of electric versions of what we had in these days where a generation of people only had resources that were from the peices put together by our hands where something could function for making music. I grew up in a setting where analog and digital listening were both mainstream in my life where artists would have a stretch of different styles in which the technology would cater to the audience demographic at hand.

When artists put together a rhythm with a song they record it takes a craft to know what it takes when alligning this with the lyrics written. In my perspective it seems that using the right instruments to make this song sound professional and full of life within a story. When DJs like me provide a soundtrack to an event there are rules and regulations set in place regarding copyright laws and certain songs need to be licensed by the provider before they are played to the public. I don't have anything that requires this since I use a platform that already has this in place where the playlists that are made available have no illegal copying of lyrics or overall sound of the music overall.

One thing a DJ has to keep in mind involves catering to a crowd and at certain times the audience likes or dislikes the artist or band being played but either way the ultimate result provides royalty payments for whoever owns this song or it's lyrics. We see this evolving with the way consumers are using outlets to find and even create a sense of promotion within the industry of the music scene as a whole. If you go through a common album what seems interesting in this day in age resides in the way a genre changes with every generation as we begin to change outlook on our perception. Let's say you are listening to a Country single that is hot on the charts and just came out of the recording studio, the trend that seems to be in effect relates to the pop music side joining in on a type of music that usually involves twin fiddles and steel guitar.

Hopefully we will see this industry continue to evolve and develop. What is your favorite album or artist?
