Thompson Park Clean Up in Amarillo

There will be a city wide event taking place this weekend with the goal of helping to bring a better look to the area that we as a community call home.  The objective to achieve this will include providing an opportunity for volunteers to participate in a clean up day hosted by Amarillo Parks and Recreation. This happens annually in the Spring season so neighborhoods can be picked up to where no trash or other debris collect on our streets and major roads. The purpose is to make our city more presentable to visitors who may be looking to find a place to move into.

This will be happening on Saturday April 27th from 9 to 10:30 AM and anyone who has decided to volunteer can gather and meet at picnic area 36 to begin the process of cleaning up and clearing out what needs to be removed from the common areas of the park. This is to help in the support of Keep Amarillo Beautiful, an initiative helping to bring a better future and city overall.
