This past Tuesday I watched some of President Trump’s speech about the current state of our country and where we are as far as issues like poverty and the unemployment rate.
His speech ran roughly an hour and a half and it was broadcast on multiple stations, I watched it on ABC News and in my opinion I think Trump is doing a great job putting our country on the fast track to recovery. We have come a long way since the Obama Administration when it comes to the state of the White House. I can remember under Obama we had his healthcare plan and not many Republicans like me were too pleased with the way it ran. Once Trump got into office he took hold of this issue and currently Obamacare does not exist anymore.
Overall I liked the way he handled the speech and I feel confident that he will continue to do as he promises and put the American people first and listen to what they have to say. I did not agree with Nancy Pelosi ripping up his speech, I believe she should face consequences for that, according to the Constitution any person who mistreats official documents should be subjected to disciplinary actions. Therefore I believe this to be the correct course of action or at least attempt to make a court case out of it so that We the People can have a say on how we feel about the situation.
We will see what happens, all I know is I hope Trump gets a second term in the White House, I know he will get things done that are important for this great country.
