It has been announced that a new album is expected to be released this year featuring a

series of Country artists that will pay tribute to singer Tom Petty through putting an emphasis on the most popular singles by the frontman of group The Heartbreakers. Some examples of Perry’s songs include “Free Fallin” “Learning to Fly” and “I Won’t Back Down” along with other popular tracks that will be included upon the release date of this album which should be available by the end of May to major retailers across the nation. The release is expected to be compatible with multiple platforms including streaming services Spotify and Amazon along with hard copy versions that can be purchased on both CD and vinyl formats for people who want the tradition of physical copies in their collections. Petty had numerous albums and songs reach number 1 in the Billboard Charts within numerous categories including Best album of the year and other recognitions that have been mentioned for the singer as well. The album is titled “Petty Country “ and the artists include are Eli Young Band, Justin Moore and Luke Combs along with other featured singers. The total tracks on this album will be 21 and the last song will be the only live version included within this record and is done by George Strait. Before the release date of May 31st you can get a sneak preview of the songs that will be included by logging on to YouTube and searching for particular songs on the newly released album.

I have personally taken a listen to one or two songs and so far the remakes are pretty solid on the lyrics in general regarding the notion of sending a shoutout to a great singer and performer. The career of Petty had a run of at least 30 years giving fans plenty of opportunities to hear a variety of songs that will live on for the next decades in the music industry. I can picture a few events that may be taking place within the next several years to give the audience this singer has a chance to remember an icon that made a mark in our lives as Rock music lovers. In this day and age we can have live events be broadcast and streamed over platforms like Facebook that allow viewers to comment and chime in on the turnout and experience of a concert we can watch from many different locations.

It has become a trend in today’s age to create tribute bands that do a great job of keeping the legacy intact through playing the well known hits within the artist’s catalog in the career that can have at least 10 years worth of material. I can say that Tom Petty had multiple concerts played in the retro decade of the 80s that resulted in many album sales creating a huge benefit in revenue.

Feel free to grab a copy of this album at your local music store.
