Tri State Fairgrounds 40th Annual Chili Cookoff

The Rex Baxter building on the Tri-state Fairgrounds will host an event aimed at raising money for the Make-a-Wish foundation to help send kids with a major illness on a dream trip.

The 40th annual Tri-State open Chili championship will be held this weekend on Saturday January 13th and according to the release there are 42 children currently waiting on their wish in Amarillo and across the Panhandle. The average cost for a group of children on a trip is around $10,000 depending upon the type of gift received.
