We Could Possibly See Time Change Go Away With New Bill

If you are not a fan of having to change the clocks back and forth between seasons there is a chance we could see a new law put into place. This would make it to where Daylight Time is permanently declared usual time year round even in the winter months.

It’s called the Sunshine Protection Act and it has passed through several levels in the White House but still needs to reach the president for this to be signed into law. I honestly think this bill will be good for us because having to get your body used to having one hour less or gaining an hour takes time and for people who work certain shifts this can affect the sleep pattern in different times of the day. For example if you had a 7AM shift and got up at 5:45 it would feel like 6:45 if it has only been a day. Having a set clock year round prevents sleep patterns from being kicked off track and in turn is better for overall health.

The only drawback during certain seasons would be for people who have early schedules where getting up time is around 5 or 6AM because the earth's curvature would cause it to be very dark at this time. Honestly if this does become law we would still need to find a way to get used to having just one time that we stay on year round. I always like when we have more daylight hours in the Summer months so it probably won't bother me if we don't have time change in the next years.

There were times when people would forget to change the clocks by an hour and wound up early or late for work and that is where I can see a benefit in having to not change an hour back or forward ever so often. Our bodies would not have to adapt to doing things when it feels later or earlier then it really is.

Would you like to see daylight time become a permanent fixture from now on?
