The popular TV version of hangman has been around since the early 80s giving contestants the opportunity to play for money by solving puzzles of a huge assortment of categories. These have expanded throughout the years and decades to include crossword puzzles and themes that include certain types of common things in life. The wheel has changed also as seasons continued to air to reflect the gradual growth and advancement of technology. For instance going from turning letters on the board to touching them which happened sometime in the early 90s.

This Thursday the Wheel of Fortune franchise goes to a primetime celebrity version in an agreement with ABC to cater to the public figures that make the entertainment industry what it is to this day. My nightly ritual has always been to keep up with this show on the different themes and I’m happy to see this new version coming this year as a part of the celebrity experience, when I watch I might see if any notable differences are present. With every TV show version you may notice a few key things that may not be in the original release, for instance a new category may be reflected in only the new version. What I am hoping is that things like the bonus round and Wheel Watchers fan club carry in to this as well.
Tune in to ABC 8/7 Central
