If you watch the series Pawn Stars you are familiar with what the show is about, people coming in to cash antiques for a refurbishment to sell to someone else. ZZ Top band member Billy Gibbons appears in an episode that recently aired that shows one of his outfits that a woman brings in. She tells the person at the register that she is not sure if Gibbons actually owned it and this is where Billy himself comes into the shop and checks out the outfit and says he knows it was his original jacket and button down shirt that he used when performing onstage at live concerts. With knowledge of this the Pawn Stars crew put a plan in place to auction this piece at a decent price for a fan of the iconic band who wants to have memorabilia in their house.

The demographic that most likely targets a person who would want a prized possession like this most likely is someone who has a great interest in history and wants something to cherish for years down the line. Then after a long stretch it might want to be handed down to the next generation to carry on the tradition. That way the family tree is carried on from one line to the next so the possession is always kept and never forgotten.

I have a huge fan base for ZZ Top from the classic songs “Legs” and “Sharp Dressed Man” to other singles that were able to make the charts on the Billboard and Rock music scene. It’s pretty cool to see that a TV show in the history genre has gained more of a audience base that revolves around artists that have a background of a good standing in historic figures.

Maybe I will happen upon something from them. Who knows. What is your favorite ZZ Top Song?
