AC/DC:A Band of Big Influence for Me

Growing up I listened to a lot of different bands and one band that really makes me think of riding in the car with the radio up is none other than Angus Young and his metal band AC/DC.

Formed in November 1973 in Sydney Australia, the group has had numerous hits including “Back in Black”, “You Shook me All Night Long” and many others. In the 80s they had plenty of exposure of their music on Rock Radio Stations all around the country, making them very popular during this decade and even into the next one, I still have their “Greatest Hits” album which was released in 2000. It was bought at Hastings whenever they were still going strong as a business, I find it hard to believe the album is 20 years old, it would be cool for me to see the record company do a 10th anniversary edition of the album to celebrate a decade.

It‘s been said that Angus Young and his band were talking about breaking up and retiring from both touring and music, although that is still somewhat up in the air we will still have AC/DC greats for many years to come. What I hope is that the band still has a place in music lovers’ hearts, I utilize streaming services like Amazon Music to listen to my favorite artists. That is the beauty of living in the current times of on demand streaming.

Rock on AC/DC!! We Salute you!!
