The Grunge age of Rock Music defined the majority of the 90s decade and Green Day is a popular favorite to many of this generation. This band had most of their hit songs in the early to mid years with the album “Dookie” being released in 1994. My favorite song by them is a later single titled “When I Come Around” from 1997 when the band’s sales were at the highest peak on albums and the music Charts on radio were making rotations of hit singles as voted on by loyal format listeners.

In later years and towards the 2000s we saw songs like “Holiday“ released to the public with record sales still at an all time high from the early years to mid and late 2009. Green Day has performed throughout the country at sponsored events in big cities like New York and Los Angeles, for example if you watched the New Year‘s Rockin Eve celebration they performed a handful of singles that received decent credit from loyal fans. I hope we see a lot more new music from them in the near future so we can see the “Longview” singers take to the Billboard Charts yet again with new songs. Below is a video of one of the singles played on College radio a couple of years ago which served as the title track to the album “Revolution Radio”. Take a listen.

This single topped the charts around several months after the initial release proving that here in modern years Green Day still holds popularity among loyal fans and I am in that group who has listened to old and new albums. In 2015 we started seeing more new artists albums being released on vinyl format and I’m sure Revolution Radio is out there to buy on a record on Amazon or another online store.
