This past Tuesday it was confirmed that Disney CEO Bob Igar will be leaving the Chief Executive position and will remain chairman of the company until 2021.
Bob Chapek who served as chairman of Disney Parks will take Igar’s role as CEO, Igar started working at ABC the parent company of Disney in 1973. I have definitely seen changes in this Company just in the last couple of years with the integration of streaming content and gaining 20th Century Fox movies through the platform Disney +. I can see a bright future of great things for Disney and wish Bob the best as he takes on his new responsibility.
I don’t usually watch many Disney movies anymore but there has definitely been a change in the way animation is done, the emphasis is on HD and even 4K quality to coincide with the way TVs are set up today.
I am sure the great founder Walt Disney himself would be proud of where his company is at today, it has definitely changed in a lot of ways especially the way content is delivered.
Keep up the good work Disney!!
