Taking a Vacation to the Texas Coast

Sometimes work makes us stressed out and we all need a little rest and relaxation, many of us may pick a place like New York or the popular big well known places in America.

I went on a trip that involved not having big city crowds, well except for going over to mainland Corpus but me and my family stayed in the Texas island of Port Aransas roughly 15 to 20 minutes to the south, the scenery is beautiful and caught my eyes right when we arrived. You can see the Gulf of Mexico when you drive out into the open from the Main Street of town, we stayed in condo 303 at a place called La Mirage and all the people at the front service desk were very nice to all 5 of us as I was with my Aunt and Uncle as well. I absolutely loved the view from our room you could see the ocean right out the window where the balcony was, you can have a look at the picture below to see what I am talking about, the first night we walked down to see the ocean and I was amazed at how many huge waves were rushing in. It’s different from a lake in many ways as the Gulf has sea water which has salt in it plus as I was saying multiple waves always coming in to shore.

While we were there we had fresh seafood caught straight from the ocean consisting of shrimp and salmon among other things, I had to pull both the tail and legs off the shrimp as it wasn’t like store brought where it was already done, however after knowing what the freshness was compared to the latter I really liked fresh better, it’s good for the body to not have all of those additives and such. We went over to Corpus Christi during our week stay and I got to take a ferry ride across the ocean from a town called Portland TX, as I was crossing the ocean I was taking in the awesome view they had ramps for different cars and we had others on board as well.

Once we were there we went to a couple different places relating to life in the Coastal Bend, I had my picture taken inside of a shark’s mouth which is an experience that I still remember to this day. If anyone wants to take a vacation this summer I highly recommend Port Aransas, it was nice.

I might go back sometime just to take in the ocean view again, maybe next time I can go deep sea fishing or something. We will have to see, until then thanks for reading!!
